You need to follow @ipodge on Twitter for routine bullying
you can pretty much determine your own diet but I use an ancient WW hybrid of NO carbs ( except cereal) and loads of veg.

TOP TIPS

Reduce your protein size. Grill or poach all food.

Try to avoid adding fat (this is why i avoid carbs as i cannot resist it)

Avoid cheese

BLACK tea and coffee (tastes better anyway)

NO snacking on biscuits or cakes, only snacks are unlimited fruit.

REDUCE alcohol using the empty tum protocol

DONT have takeaways.

icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-28826700491751807202010-09-02T06:35:00.000-07:002010-09-02T06:35:50.886-07:00iPodge soup this is a great lunch. tasty and the calories are so low oyu need a magnifying glass

Ingredients
one onion
one large carrot
celery ( no? oh dont be so blardy fussy)
half a swede
pasrnip( small)
Leek ( one)

you CAN get all of this in a casserole veg pack, waitrose do one, that is pretty easy to pick up in a hurry.

Method

chop all any old how. sweat( not fry) in pan with a tiny bit of oil

bung in a kettle of boiling water.

add your own homemade stock ( or two knorr veg stockpot things)

go and do something worthwhile

return to pan. get a whizzy stick blender and BLAST IT. add chopped parsely.
you can at this point add poncey soup pasta but that obv is carb tastic.

this is a GREAT lunch if you have a meal out you cannot avoid in the evening. Avoid going too mad with the veg - you want a balance, Otherwise it ends up like baby food. NO salt reqd as stock has masses.icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-81522225138019739442010-09-02T00:18:00.001-07:002010-09-02T00:18:44.086-07:00KEEP GOING!imagine stepping on the scales and it being on 90!icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-66723421950777180512010-09-01T12:16:00.000-07:002010-09-01T12:17:29.499-07:00so you are realising day one is tough?DONT STOP NOW, if you do the whole day has been in vain.
I'll try and get on there and shout at you so do post @ipodge any moments of weakness you have - or maybe another dieter will be ahem " robust" in "encouraging " you.
There are some that record your weight so you can have different profiles in the family.
Mum - 11 stone
Mum - on one leg 10 stone
Mum breathing in - still 11 stone
Mum after a kilo of potato - 22 stone

In the end i went for the cheapskate ones http://www.johnlewis.com/150910/Style.aspx - they measure in incremenets of 200g fgs - so every single cube of chocolate will count.icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-20747542781184516112010-08-31T01:52:00.000-07:002010-08-31T01:52:15.694-07:00You do it YOURRRRRRR waythere wil be no strict menus here, we are all ancient, we know how to do it. For the (one) person who asked me,, mine is a variation on WW one from years ago.

typical day:
breakfast - small cereal coffee( have black anyway)
break - apple
lunch - ipodge soup( more later) or if at school then plain chicken, salad, no carbs
Supper - grilled or poached small meat/fish and veg (MASSES of) fruit

thats it.
If i have pasta its with a tomato/veg sauce, no cream no bacon ( sniff)icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-91103935421327323512010-08-31T01:42:00.000-07:002010-08-31T01:42:21.225-07:00ITS TOMORROW!as someone who has just had pavlova for breakfast in the BATH, I can say that we all need sorting out. <strike> I, </strike>WE need discipline, work, schoolbags, new uniform and of course semi starvation.

things to do today:
1. assess scales
Mine are vintage and have just gone in the bin. They were digital ones that lurched from making me Geri Halliwell to Oprah just by the twitching of a toe.
If you buy new digital scales ones in half pounds are sufficient. Anything less is ferreaky.

2. chuck out stuff you snack on. Put wine in the shed, out of reach, certainly NOT chilling nicely.

3 start planning next weeks menus.icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-76325681126050416682010-08-26T11:17:00.000-07:002010-08-26T11:17:51.428-07:00oh by the way...@ipodge has followed everyone on Twitter following us.

We need to work out a way of keeping diet chat from BORING everyone on our other twitter feed.
As far as i understand it, anyone following say both @icod and @grumpywhenwoken will read comment from them to each other...
maybe if we start all diet chat with the hashtag?

OOH my brain hurts - any ideas?icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-62326148914597457262010-08-26T11:11:00.000-07:002010-08-26T11:11:48.785-07:00wednesday it starts!

things to consider:

1. Are your scales accurate? you MUST weigh the first day. this will really motivate you when loss starts slowing later on.

2. Are you telling people or not? a tricky one - sometimes it can motivate, sometimes attract attention. You'll get negative comments about dieting from other people who, generally need to lose a bit!

3. Have you a target? an item you will buy when you have shifted some fat? Somewhere you want to go and look good? Try and get one - for me its a shopping trip in early october to the big smoke.

4. Try and think of meals you can have now to start menu planning. If you plan a day there will be fewer failures.icodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285247278260119587.post-33411883291730781182010-08-21T07:19:00.000-07:002010-08-21T07:19:21.006-07:00Vegetables on iPodgePart of the #iPodge route to slimness involves binning carbs - ok we got that!
That means you are starving.
So you need to eat LOADS more veg than you have so far.
You'll really notice it. IN many ways. ;)

The best way avoid slinging rancid broccoli or mouldy lettuce every week is to PLAN what you are going to eat - preferably weekly but DEFINITELY daily.

FRUIT is allowed for moments of starvation but if you eat a whole bunch of bananas you will stay fat.

Ipodge is the way YOU are going to stop stuffing your face and lost TEN POUNDS ( we hope) in a month.

How can i get ready for iPodge?

You could eat a lot now - thus ensuring a pretty spectacular loss.
You could get a lot of piercings that will weigh you down in week one
You could get your head around NOT eating bread (thats a biggie)

BOOZE - I cant not drink!

Well, the choice is yours. personally I am going to do no booze week one. Thereafter I suggest the ESP (empty stomach principle) where you have ONE glass early doors as you start to cook (say about 7 30) then hide the bottle.

Will I need any special kit?

NO! we just eat less food. No stupid low cal choc drinks or sweet replacements.

Do I need to excercise?

Of course thats a good idea but not compulsory.

When do we weigh in?

I wanted Monday am but everyone moaned. SO its Friday. we will start at the number 100 to avoid revealing rl weights. YOU do need scales, none of this " just get my clothes looser" shiticodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07395364971921997612noreply@blogger.com7
